Analytics
Preface tracks how visitors engage with your demos and hubs, giving you insight into what's working and where viewers drop off. Analytics are available for both individual demos and hubs.

Accessing analytics
- Demo analytics — open a demo, then click Analytics in the toolbar
- Hub analytics — open a hub, then click Analytics in the toolbar
Time range
Use the preset buttons at the top of the analytics page to select the period you want to inspect:
| Preset | Period |
|---|---|
| Last 7 days | The 7 days ending today |
| Last 30 days | The 30 days ending today |
| Last 90 days | The 90 days ending today (Scale plan) |
| Last 12 months | The 365 days ending today (Scale plan) |
Each period is automatically compared against the equivalent preceding period — for example, Last 30 days is compared against the 30 days before that.
Demo analytics
Summary metrics
Four stat cards appear at the top of the demo analytics page. Each shows the value for the selected period alongside a trend indicator (up or down) relative to the previous period.
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Views | Unique sessions in which the demo was started |
| Completions | Unique sessions that reached the final step |
| Completion rate | Completions as a percentage of views |
| Bounce rate | Sessions that started but never advanced past the first step |
Views over time
A line chart showing daily view counts across the selected period, with the previous period overlaid as a dashed line for comparison.
A screenshot of the views over time line chart will go here.
Step funnel
A bar chart showing what percentage of viewers reached each step. The first step is always 100% — subsequent bars show the percentage of the first step's audience who made it that far.
Each bar's tooltip shows the exact viewer count alongside the percentage.
A screenshot of the step funnel bar chart will go here.
Use the step funnel to identify where viewers are dropping off. A sharp drop between two steps often indicates a friction point — a step that is confusing, too long, or not compelling enough to continue.
Time on step
A bar chart showing the average time viewers spent on each step before advancing. Times are capped at 5 minutes per session to prevent abandoned sessions from skewing the average.
A screenshot of the time on step bar chart will go here.
Steps with high average time may indicate:
- Content that takes longer to absorb (intentional)
- A step where viewers are hesitating or confused
- A step with voiceover that runs long
Hub analytics
Summary metrics
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Hub views | Unique sessions that loaded the hub |
| Demo clicks | Total times a demo card was clicked |
| Bounce rate | Sessions that viewed the hub but didn't click any demo |
Views over time
A line chart showing daily hub view counts, with the previous period overlaid for comparison.
Demo breakdown
A horizontal bar chart showing click counts per demo, ranked by popularity. Use this to see which demos attract the most interest from hub visitors.
A screenshot of the hub demo breakdown chart will go here.
Comparison period
Every metric is compared against the equivalent preceding period automatically. The exact date ranges being compared are shown beneath the time range selector:
Comparing 2026-01-01 – 2026-01-30 with 2025-12-02 – 2025-12-31
Trend arrows (↑ green / ↓ red) appear on each stat card when there is data for both periods. If the previous period had no data, a "No data for previous period" note is shown instead.
